Hello and welcome to the 141th edition of the Screenshot of the Week!

To start with, congratulations to the winner of the previous contest! Wondercricket's screenshot from won with 12 upvotes!

Last week's winning screenshot one

To submit a screenshot, simply post it as an answer to this question, but please take note of the following:

  • One screenshot per post, and one post per person, please!
  • Limited picture modifications are allowed, such as cropping, simple filters, and blurring of identifying info such as names, but not adding other images or text.
  • To ensure a fair playing field, please post screenshots you've taken yourself rather than ones you found online.
  • Stack Exchange’s Code of Conduct still applies - so if it would be unacceptable to post normally, it’s unacceptable here.

Also, try to avoid pictures that include spoilers. We want everyone to be able to enjoy this contest, so the less spoilers the better.

How long will the contest run?

We will accept submissions for a week, until 12 May 2025, then have a second week-long period where only voting will be accepted. This is to give every submission, even those posted at the end of the first week, a chance to be voted on by everyone.

After the end of the second week, at 19 May 2025, we will count upvotes only to determine the winning screenshot, which will be featured for a week on the main site's photo widget.

Gaming IRL

Show us how you rep gaming IRL, for example, tattoos, or otherwise how gaming shows up when you are not in front of the screen!

As a reminder, we're always accepting suggestions for themed weeks, and have compiled that suggestion process into a question of its own. Additionally, there is the hall of fame you can check out that contains all the previous contest winners.

  • “… otherwise how gaming shows up when you are not in front of the screen!“ My answer to that would be how I walk (I’m a bit of a cartoon character in IRL, lol) but that’s not easy to capture in a picture, nor is it a prop.

I love Lego, and I love , so it was easy to decide the next thing that "shut up and took my money".
Official Lego Tallneck and MOC Thunderjaw and Corruptor.

PS: I also have another Lego Tallneck that couldn't fit in photo, and a third machine is in building process until I find where to put it.

  • I feel like this is such a long shot from the time I used to assemble whatever random Lego bricks I could find as a kid.

  • as a lego tallneck owner, this picture doesn't do justice as to how large the creations presented here are. i'm guessing the thunderjaw is about 30cm tall? Commented May 12 at 18:14

    @Themoonisacheese actually 38cm tall x 83cm long :)

? ▲ ?, ? ▲ ?

A blue ocarina placed on a glockenspiel, with the sheet music to Zelda’s Lullaby by Koji Kondo on a music stand. A keyring-sized Nintendo-64 controller is also placed on the glockenspiel. BMO is also sitting on the glockenspiel.

I like the addition of the N64 controller. I have the 3DS version, so I’m not really getting the classic experience.

  • It would be funny if you put the arrows to each key on the (I’m guessing glockenspiel?). You could easily learn any ocarina song that way. :D

  • Can you Play the ocarina?
    – nobody
    Commented May 12 at 18:05

@nobody I can play the ocarina (as well the flute, piccolo, tin-whistle, and various sizes of recorder) somewhat, but by no means particularly well. The fingering system (control layout) across woodwind instruments is relatively logical and consistent. And the embouchure (mouth control) for the ocarina is much simpler than flute, so it’s not too hard. The range of the instrument is only about an octave and a minor sixth. So I actually play Zelda’s Lullaby in a different key (a perfect fifth lower) than what is heard in the game / what you see in the image. Commented May 13 at 6:13

In Australia, one of our major Supermarket chains Woolworths (aka, Woolies) ran a Movie promotion thing where they gave away things called Cubeez, these cards of Carboard that you would pop out and turn into cubes.

Over half of the collection was character and mob heads (you can see one in the far back) but the rest, which I was mainly after, I put together at work using Blu Tack to keep everything from falling over the place.

It reminds me of a time when my parents bought some ice cream, and the box itself could be turned into part of a castle (we would have had to purchase a few more boxes to complete the entire castle)

Good to see something nice can come of a movie that seems to be brain-dead (ironically celebrating what might be the epitome of creativity since Lego (seen here in the back?)).

A picture I had taken back when I had an upright piano. You can see the Wanderer's Journal and the Collector's Edition of on top of the piano, as well as the piano collections with illustrations on the music desk.

I could have shown my passion for FPS games with my Airsoft replica and firearms collections too, but for some strange reasons, I have a feeling it might be a terrible idea.

You know, I've never actually really read the guide for - when it was gifted to me, I'd already beaten the game multiple times and had done basically everything. Cool gift though.

After a long day in front of the work screen and then in front of the game screen, it is a good idea to let the eyes rest a bit by reading some books made the good old dead-tree way (especially if they expand on the unfinished game universe) and finally cook a fantastic meal :)

four books laid out on the floor, one is titled "Final Fantasy XV Prologue - parting ways", the next is "That's it! - the unofficial FFXV community cookbook", the third is Final Fantasy XV - The Dawn of the Future" and the last is "Final Fantasy XV Official Works"

@Clockwork The hardest part is finding a service that does print/bind on demand and ships to you. The rest is found here: sites.google.com/view/ffxvcookbook/home
